As you know, GFC supports candidates for important local races when we are asked to do so by people we respect. Recently one of the people we respect most, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, asked us to support Anthony Tordillos, who is in a special run-off election for the San Jose City Council that will take place June 24. Anthony is super-impressive — raised in a working class home, he was the first person in his family to go to college, earning a degree in Computer Science from Yale — and his election would help Matt govern San Jose more successfully. Anthony’s opponent is backed by public employee unions but private sector unions are endorsing Anthony because he is pro-growth. You can donate to Anthony’s campaign here. The maximum is $700. The campaign has a reporting deadline tomorrow at midnight so any amount you could donate now would be helpful.
