For some time I have been telling those who asked me about Kamala Harris that I thought she would not run for governor. Though that was also my hope, my reasoning was objective: California’s next governor will inherit massive problems and Harris is not a problem solver. She made the right call, both for herself and the state.
Now that she has made her decision, the question I’m often being asked is about our next steps in the governor’s race. We are thinking of hosting Zoom sessions with candidates for GFC donors and chapters. Let us know if you would be interested.
Meanwhile, government unions are busily polling for new ways to boost taxes. Next week we will ask you to sign a letter of opposition to a bill that would reduce transparency in the case of tax increases on the ballot, though that’s only one of many fronts being launched by tax increase advocates.
