After landing valuable endorsements from labor-union rent-seekers last week, this week Eric Swalwell picked up financial support from some of Sacramento’s leading commercial rent-seekers. According to Cal-Access, independent expenditure campaigns for Swalwell just received $1 million contributions from the California Medical Association, the California Dental Association, and Global Medical Response, all of whom make money off of influencing California’s governors.
If you followed the daily activities in the State Legislature, as I do, you would be horrified by a never-ending cascade of measures that, if signed by a Governor Swalwell, would further hobble jobs and wages, increase costs and taxes, and reinforce the power of the rent-seekers that control Sacramento.
