Earlier this week, the Mahan campaign released its first ad and a memo reporting that Matt is already within striking distance of Tom Steyer and Katie Porter even though Matt is known by only 37% of voters. Matt easily beats Steyer and Porter when voters learn about him. And, earlier today, the Back to Basics independent expenditure campaign for Mahan released a memo about its multi-million-dollar plan in support of Matt’s surge, including previews of ads.
As I explain here, California’s governors have king-like powers over state policies. Unless you want Tom Steyer or Katie Porter to exercise those powers, I hope you will help Matt win. He has collected more direct donations than any other candidate and the independent expenditure campaign has raised more than $25 million, but winning in our big and noisy state requires lots of money.
