When voting, take Emily Hoeven’s advice and refuse to limit yourself to “a subset of mediocre candidates simply because of what the polls say.” Don’t be fooled into gamifying your vote. Vote for exceptional candidates. In my own case, I voted for two exceptional statewide candidates, Matt Mahan for Governor and Patrick Wolff for Insurance Commissioner. If you’re in San Francisco, vote against SEIU’s exceptionally-selfish Proposition D.
