Three critical seats on the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Board are up for grabs this fall. Whether or not you have a child in SFUSD, you should care about who wins. California’s schools plummeted during the pandemic and many got hijacked by social issues, but thanks to aggressive political activism by parents and others in San Francisco, SFUSD has been turning around. That sets a compelling example for activists in other districts. But much more needs to be done and continuing improvement requires continual vigilance.
GFC’s SF Public Schools Chapter, which is chaired by Sachi Takahashi-Rial and Michael Joseph, is supporting Phil Kim, Autumn Brown Garibay and Tim Tung and recommends others do the same. The maximum donation per candidate is $500. You may donate to any or all of the recommendations with a single payment using GFC’s one-stop donation form. You may also elect to have our law firm handle any required political reporting for you at GFC’s expense.
